Scott Banning from Itchy-O hit me up via Messenger asking me if I wanted to be their Experimental Vocoderist.

I responded to some random persons question about astrophysics, depression and existential shit (as I do), and I guess he just liked what he read.
How do astrophysicists live their lives without becoming profoundly depressed? Serious question.
My response:
Because understanding the nature of the universe has a way of making one feel more connected to it. Like knowing that most of the components in your body were formed in heart of stars and exploding supernova, or the fact that you are the living result of 5 billion years of constant Earth life evolution and that you are related to all living things, or the fact that every atom in your body contains energy that can never be destroyed and will exist until the end of the universe. Or the thought that your personal perspective is the only one like it in existence. Like Carl Sagan said, “We are a way the universe can know itself”.
