This crazy thing started in the summer when Randall asked Nathan if we would maybe do some shows in November with the Pink Dots. Somehow that evolved into Mark asking Nathan if he wanted to play some DVOA live, and they invited me.
Mark gave Nathan and I the track listing for the set and a bunch of stems so we could jam them out.

Nov 16 – Day 1 – DVOA Rehearsal
We start playing the first song and I start playing the drums and all of a sudden Mark stops is like, “No, no, no drums on this song.” It was the same version we sent to him, so I was a little worried something had been lost in translation, but in hind-sight the live drums may have just been too present in the room and freaked Mark out. We jammed through the set and Mark seemed very happy about it.
